NHS Improvement is responsible for overseeing foundation trusts, NHS trusts and independent providers. We offer the support these providers need to give patients consistently safe, high quality, compassionate care within local health systems that are financially sustainable. By holding providers to account and, where necessary, intervening, we help the NHS to meet its short-term challenges and secure its future.
NHS Improvement is the operational name for the organisation that brings together Monitor, NHS Trust Development Authority, Patient Safety, the National Reporting and Learning System, the Advancing Change team and the Intensive Support Teams.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the South West Regional team as a Senior Performance and Improvement Lead Band 8C.
You will work closely with the Regional Head of Performance, as a member of the Regional Elective and Cancer Care team, supporting the improvement, assurance and delivery teams to improve and deliver the key national elective care and cancer clinical standards. You will need to have excellent IT skills as the role involves developing reports and briefings for the regional and national teams, using operational intelligence gained from providers and improvement and delivery teams.
This is a 9 month fixed term/secondment opportunity.
The role does involve occasional travel across the region.
This post can be based in Taunton or Chippenham.
Closing date: 18th February 2019
Interviews will be in South West House, Taunton on 28th February 2019.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
