As a National Clinical Lead, you will play a central role in NHS Improvement (NHSI), bringing clinical expertise to the organisation’s decisions as well as providing advice to trusts.

National Clinical Leads will work part-time with NHS Improvement from clinical practice in their employing organisation. Each post-holder will require subject matter expertise and excellent credentials in their field, and an enthusiasm for system-wide collaboration. We are particularly interested in direct expertise relating to:
• Accident and emergency
• Surgery and interventional procedures
• Maternity / Obstetrics and gynaecology
• General medicine or medical specialty
You will provide clinical and operational advice to NHSI colleagues, support clinical engagement activity on key NHSI programmes, work collaboratively with the National Clinical Directors of NHS England and help shape relationships with clinicians and other key partners across the sector.
