NHS Improvement is responsible for overseeing foundation trusts, NHS trusts and independent providers. We offer the support these providers need to give patients consistently safe, high quality, compassionate care within local health systems that are financially sustainable. By holding providers to account and, where necessary, intervening, we help the NHS to meet its short-term challenges and secure its future.

NHS Improvement is the operational name for the organisation that brings together Monitor, NHS Trust Development Authority, Patient Safety, the National Reporting and Learning System, the Advancing Change team and the Intensive Support Teams.

The Improvement Directorate is responsible for building long term improvement and leadership development capability across the NHS and supporting shorter-term improvements across core NHS standards for acute, community and ambulance trusts.

Working at a national level the ACT Academy is an expert team who design and deliver a suite of long term learning/educational support programmes to build the capability of teams and individuals across the NHS and associated system partners to deliver service and quality improvement and transformational change.

The post holder will be responsible for the design, delivery and continuous development of ACT Academy’s marketing strategy and plan, and will lead on the design and development of individual marketing plans for ACT Academy programme recruitment. The Academy run twe flagship programmes Transformational Change for System Leadership (TCSL) and Quality Service Improvement and Redesign (QSIR). Core to the success of the role is focusing on understanding the needs of our stakeholders, and developing communications and marketing plans which inform, educate and engage them in a targeted, timely and effective way. The post holder will be responsible for our website presence.

The post holder will also support the writing, editing and publication of a range of materials from 300 page text books to marketing flyers. Liaising with designers, the central comms team and ACT Academy Faculty
